Individuals and groups at Covenant are involved in various efforts within our community where they share and show Jesus' love. Each Compassion Project has a point person who oversees the work of that ministry with support and guidance from Covenant's leadership. If the work of one of these Compassion Projects interests you, message us at office@covenantchurch.ca and we'll connect you with the project leader!

  • Community Freezer
    • We have a dedicated freezer at Covenant, which is used for people to drop meals off for those who could use some extra food at any given time. Feel free to drop off prepared meals (individual or family sized) or other quality food goods that people may need.
    • If you need some extra food at any time, come and check out what is available for you!
  • Music and Friendship Ministry at Water Street Home for Specialized Care
    • A group of people gather on Wednesdays at a specialized care home to lead a sing-along. A mix of classic tunes, spirituals, and old favourites forms the soundtrack for growing friendships.
    • Special events and snacks are opportunities this team uses to deepen their connection with the residents at the home.
  • Caring Kitchen at First Presbyterian Church
    • Each Monday, First Presbyterian Church hosts a lunch for our community. People associated with Covenant are welcome to participate alongside those from First Presbyterian and from elsewhere within the community.
    • If you're in need of a meal, head to First Presbyterian Church (Robert St. E., Penetang) between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm any Monday!
    • If you would like to help with the meal prep, service, or greeting reach out to Pastor Jon and he'll connect you with the right people!
  • Lafontaine Road Cleanup - Twice per year a group works together to clean up the roadside between Penetang and Lafontaine.
