Covenant Family,

For Christmas 2022 we are partnering with Beausoleil First Nation Social Services and with Covenant’s Meal Program to put together Winter Necessity Packages for men and women who could use an extra blessing at this time of year. Beausoleil Social Services has 47 men and 16 women, they would like to serve. We would like to prepare many packages for those in our Penetang community, too.

To help put together these packages, we are collecting the following items:

  • HatsMittens/Gloves
  • Socks
  • Thermal Underwear
  • Deodorant
  • Razors
  • Shampoo
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Bodywash/soap
  • Moisturizing Lotion
  • Pre-packaged Treats!

We ask that all items be NEW and of GOOD QUALITY. (Dollar store hats and gloves aren’t as helpful in a cold winter and won’t last very long!)

If you would like to contribute but are not able to go shopping, you could donate a gift card. (A President’s Choice Gift Card would allow social services to go shopping at several associated stores in the area.) You could also give directly to our Compassion Fund, however not all Compassion Fund gifts will be used for this specific project.

Donations can be dropped off in boxes in the church lobby. There is one box for clothing and treats. Another box for hygiene products. And another small box for gift cards. (The gift card box will only be in the lobby on Sundays and in our main office during the week.)

We are excited to be able to serve our community and partner with Beausoleil Social Services this season. Thanks in advance for your contribution!
