Still Alive

It's Tuesday now.

But Jesus is still alive.

Resurrection has redefined the story in which we live. Resurrection has redefined what is real and true.

Death is not the end.

Pain is not the whole story.

Tragedy. Heartbreak. Betrayal. Loss. Abuse.

They are all true. But they are not the ultimate truth. They are not the end of the story.

They are not the end of our story.

It's Tuesday now.

But Jesus is still alive.

From the shadow of death, life will break through.

Sometimes we see it in the present. Sometimes we wait for it in the days to come.

Sometimes we live it now. Sometimes, not so much.

But we trust - with a sure and certain hope - that life is what is true. Full and abundant life.

Because it's Tuesday now.

And Jesus is still alive.
