What about Baptism?
At Covenant, we invite followers of Jesus to consider following Jesus in Baptism. Jesus was baptized when his cousin, John, immersed him in the water of the Jordan River. (Matthew 3:13-17) Jesus instructed his followers to use this baptism as a physical symbol of their spiritual connection to him. (Matthew 28:18-20) Baptism by going completely under the water (immersion) represents the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and marks us out for life we live after coming up from the water - a new Jesus guided life. (Romans 6:4)
