House Churches

- People meeting in small groups in homes or at the church for fellowship,
study and prayer.  Meet at various times throughout the week.
-COMPANIONS ON THE ROAD: A Mentoring program for Covenant Church
– an informal and user-friendly program for anyone wanting to grow spiritually
through one-on-one meetings with an experienced Christian friend/mentor.
Freedom Seekers - A Christ -Centred 12 step program for conquering codependency.
- A support group where you can share in confidentiality, learn about self, others and God.
- Monday evenings, 7 to 8:30 pm in the portable.

Spiritual Care

Community Care Team
- A team overseen by the Deacons that intentionally helps to connect people with
the church through prayer, hospitality and identifying special needs.
- Each person who attends Covenant is assigned to the care of a leader.
Counseling
- Spiritual care is available by contacting the pastors.
Prayer/Quiet Room
- Located at the front of the sanctuary. People are available after each service to
pray with you.

Compassion Ministries

Active Compassion Team
- People with skills, time and resources offer their services to assist others in
need of practical help. By providing tangible acts of service to one another, we
are following in Jesus' footsteps.
Penetanguishene Soup Kitchen
- The first Wednesday of every month the church provides sandwiches for this
effort, held at the Penetang Legion.
Community Freezer
- Food is stocked to share in times of need (death, baby, illness...).
- Bring contributions to the church at any time.
Missions
- Financial support is given to BIC missionaries as part of the regular offering.
- We also support 2 children throug the SPICE program.
Super Jail Chapel
- Covenant holds a chapel for inmates of Central North Correctional Centre
on the first Sunday of each month.
Food Bank
- Donations of food for the Midland and Penetang Food Banks are collected
on an on-going basis.
- Watch for requests for special items & place donations in the shopping cart
in the foyer at any time.

Christian Growth

Baptism
- Covenant practices believer's baprtism in which the candidate gives public
witness of faith in Jesus Christ and is baptized by immersion.
- Candidates attend an orientation session, offered twice yearly.
Membership
- Persons considered for membership testify faith in Jesus Christ, pledge
their alliance to God's word and their loyalty to the church.
- Baptism is a prerequisite.

- Find out more about Covenant and the bene-fits of membership.
Sessions offered twice each year and attendance in one is a prerequisite
for membership.
Story Telling
- All people at Covenant are encouraged to tell their story to others as a
part of growing in their faith.
Child Dedications
- Parents commit themselves to the Lord in the care and training of their
children.
Members of the congregation join with the parents in pledging to pray for
and to nurture the child.
